Urgent Capital Funding (UCF)

Urgent-Capital-Support-Funding

The Urgent Capital Support Funding Scheme ( UCF ) provides funding for academies and sixth-form colleges to address critical building condition issues that may endanger staff and pupils, or risk closure to the school.

Eligibility & Application Process

Available to Academies who are eligible for CIF Funding. In some circumstances schools who have recently joined a MAT but are yet to receive SCA funds mya have a limited time to apply.

Funding is provided for unforeseen, critical infrastructure issues, that require urgent funding to prevent immediate risks to occupants or continuity of education.

Application is made via the Application Form submitted alongside supporting documentation, directly to the UCS team.

The project severity and immediacy of need is assessed on receipt of the application. The UCF team may require further information before a final decision is made, but approved applications will usually receive the necessary funding to address the problem promptly.

Typically Eligible Projects Include:

  • Critical Heating System Failures
  • Structural Defects
  • Emergency Roof Repairs
  • Fire Safety System Failure
  • Electrical Failures
